Travel is one of my top personal interests. I travel to different places to learn about the history, culture, as well as local values; I try out new foods, make new friends and sometimes even pick up new foreign languages!
I always do my trip planning or vacation planning myself and enjoy it very much. Trip planning or vacation planning is one of the best ways to get the most out of your holiday. It allows you to determine when to go, where to go and what to see. Many people feel that trip planning is cumbersome and takes too much time. However, planning a trip or planning a vacation is not as difficult as you might think; in fact, trip planning is as simple as ABC:
- Ask family and friends about their travel experiences
- Buy a travel book i.e. Lonely Planet, Frommer’s
- Connect to the Internet and search for all sorts of information including country information, travel costs i.e. flight and train prices, travelers’ reviews etc
Now that you are thinking about a holiday, ask yourself 3 simple questions:
- How many people am I traveling with? Does it include the elders, children or adults?
- How many days do I have? Does it include weekdays and/or weekends?
- How much am I willing to spend for this trip? Is it during peak or off-peak season?
The more information you gather, the better it is. So don’t wait and start your trip planning now!
